One of the unique aspects of Metro is
that we started as a retail agency in 1983. We had the opportunity to
deal with the consumer face to face. So, when we sold our retail
operations in 1990 and started as a wholesale agency, we already understood
the needs of the customer that would want our products. We also knew
one other thing. The wholesale market as a whole was not responsive or
attentive to their customer, the retail agent. As a retailer,
submissions would fall into a black hole and, most times, never get the
attention or care that our client deserved. So we stuck to our basics.
And today, so many years after Metro opened its doors, we still are sticking to
basics.
